Leading up to the release of Universal's highly anticipated trailer for The Bad Guys, I had a blast taking over the Dreamworks Instagram account. My team shook things up by wiping the account clean and posting a 9-grid ransom note that demanded immediate action from fans and talent alike.
Each tile of the grid was a new crazy demand, and users had to swipe to unlock each one. Taking inspiration from the film's lead character, Mr. Wolf, we brought his tone of voice to life with our inventive demands. As the hours passed and our demands went unmet, the trailer was finally released to the public!
To add to the excitement, other DreamWorks accounts jumped into the action in the comments and made their own posts, all referencing the Instagram heist for a truly synergistic moment. It was a wild ride, and I had an absolute blast bringing fans into the world of The Bad Guys in such a fun and unique way!
